thanks for asking us about your plans to go to Prince of Wales Island. With some brief computer searching it appears that Thorne Bay and the Adventures Alaska crew would be a great place for an Alaskan vacation. Their packages are quite complete and would make your trip fun and easy. I have no experience with them personally but with a few references I would assume you could be comfortable with them.
Our hunt is completely not catered. We're using a remote forest service cabin with no electricity, no plumbing and maybe a leaky roof. Everything is on us. We're done this before and enjoy the challenge and extra work it entails.
Will the remoteness of our cabin help us do better with bears, deer and or fish? I don't know for sure. I'll bet if you decide to use Adventures Alaska Southeast to help you cater your hunt your second hunt to the islands could be more remote, rough and hopefully as much fun.
I would love to talk to you about our preparations and excitement of hunting on our own but your approach seems to have few flaws. Good luck and let us know how it goes.
